Lead Sign Installer / Installation Technician

Location: Columbus, Ohio | Full-Time | Nationwide Travel Custom Sign Center is hiring an experienced Lead Sign Installer based in Columbus, Ohio. This role requires nationwide travel and the ability to lead installations for major signage programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Install commercial signage including channel letters, pylon signs, monument signs, LED displays, and canopy signage
  • Operate crane trucks and bucket trucks
  • Set poles and perform structural sign installations
  • Supervise job sites and train apprentice installers
  • Troubleshoot and problem-solve during installations
  • Travel nationally for installations (typically one week at a time)

Requirements:

  • 5+ years electrical sign installation experience
  • Ability to operate crane and bucket trucks
  • Crane operator certification preferred
  • CDL license a plus
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to travel nationwide

We're looking for a dedicated Apprentice Installer to help with hands-on installation of building signage. You'll assist with loading materials, setting up tools, installing sign structures, and learning how to operate crane and bucket trucks. No experience? No problem - we'll train the right person!

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Strap/unstrap loads and stock trucks with tools
  • Assist unloading with skid loader
  • Install wall signs, pylons, and sign faces
  • Wipe down and clean products
  • Use hand tools, paint poles, and do touchups
